These are a bit underfired so feels rough to touch. While they're still food safe and can be used to eat dry items, I'd recommend not to use them for gravy items in regular usage. This is just precautionary. However as a food prop, for food photography it is completely fine.
CARE : These pieces are oven friendly, microwave safe and happy in a dishwasher. However, we do recommend a mild dishwasher cycle or handwashing with mild detergent. Also ensure they are completely dry after washing before you store them away.
